RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Former Brazil international midfielder Dudu has returned to his original club Cruzeiro on a free transfer, the Brazilian Serie A side said on Monday.
The 32-year-old signed a contract that will reportedly tie him to the Belo Horizonte-based club until December 2027.
"Dudu has come home," Cruzeiro said in a brief message posted on social media.
The announcement came less than two weeks after Dudu parted ways with Palmeiras by mutual consent after 10 years with the Sao Paulo outfit.
Dudu, who has been capped three times for Brazil's national team, began his professional career with Cruzeiro in 2009 before moving to Dynamo Kyiv two years later.
He made 452 appearances for Palmeiras across all competitions after joining the club in 2015. Enditem
