YANGON, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar police seized 1.52 kg of heroin and over 100,000 stimulant tablets in northern Myanmar's Kachin state, the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) said on late Wednesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint anti-narcotic task force searched two motorcycles in Mohnyin Township of Kachin state on Dec. 24 and confiscated 1.52 kg of heroin, 107,820 stimulant tablets and 1 kg of raw opium.

The seized drugs had a street value of 200.93 million kyats (about 95,680 U.S. dollars), the CCDAC said.

Three suspects were charged under the Southeast Asian country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations were underway, it added. Enditem
