RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Brazil international midfielder Andreas Pereira is close to joining Palmeiras from English Premier League side Fulham, according to widespread media reports.

The Brazilian Serie A club presented an offer of 20 million euros (around 21 million U.S. dollars) to secure the 28-year-old in January 2025, Globo Esporte said on Thursday.

It added that Pereira's representatives were confident that a deal would be completed in the coming days.

Pereira has scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists in 97 appearances for Fulham since joining the club from Manchester United in 2022.

He has been capped nine times for Brazil's national team, scoring two goals. Enditem
