ISTANBUL -- Turkish police detained 30 Islamic State (IS)-linked suspects here on Monday, thwarting potential terror attacks planned by them, according to the state-run Anadolu agency.
The operation followed the issuance of detention warrants by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for 46 suspects believed to be capable of carrying out terrorist attacks in Türkiye on behalf of IS. (Türkiye-IS Suspects-Arrest)

BEIRUT -- Mahmoud Qomati, deputy head of Hezbollah's Political Council, said on Monday that Hezbollah would not "remain silent" if Israel fails to withdraw from Lebanese territories by the end of the 60-day ceasefire agreement.

JERUSALEM -- The Israeli military said on Monday that its Air Force intercepted two rockets from northern Gaza in the evening, adding the rocket attack activated air raid sirens in communities surrounding the Gaza Strip.

KIEV -- A total of 189 Ukrainians returned from Russian captivity on Monday as a part of a new prisoner swap, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
