BELGRADE, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Seven people, including two children, were killed in a shooting on Wednesday afternoon in Cetinje, a town in southwest Montenegro, the national broadcaster RTCG reported.
It also said the incident happened at around 3 P.M. local time, reportedly starting with a violent confrontation in a local cafe.
The suspected gunman, 45-year-old Aco Martinovic, remains at large, RTCG added.
Police has described the situation as an isolated incident and not linked to organized crime. They have deployed special units to locate the suspect and restore order.
"Citizens are urged to remain calm and avoid leaving their homes while the investigation and search are underway," the Montenegrin Police Directorate said in a statement. Enditem
