TEHRAN, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Deputy Energy Minister Mohsen Tarztalab said on Thursday that the country plans to expand cooperation with China to develop its renewable energy sector, according to the Iranian Students' News Agency.
Tarztalab, also head of Iran's Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization, made the remarks on the sidelines of the 14th International Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Exhibition in Tehran, noting that Iran had drawn up plans to achieve the goal.
He noted that China is one of the world's leading countries in solar energy and wind power generation and has cutting-edge technology in the industry.
"By increasing our cooperation with Chinese constructors and the private sector, we will be able to use the country's science and technology," Tarztalab was quoted as saying.
The four-day exhibition, which opened in Tehran on Thursday, is attended by 150 Iranian firms and 19 companies from China, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Oman, and Türkiye, showcasing their latest products and innovations, according to the Iranian Labour News Agency. Enditem
