ISLAMABAD, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani forces have seized over 1,073 tons of narcotics since September 2023, causing a severe blow to organized drug networks across the country, the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) of Pakistan said on Friday.

According to the data provided by the ANF, law enforcement agencies also arrested 2,464 drug dealers during the period.

The ANF added that the security forces also conducted several operations across the country last week and seized 978.7 kg of drugs and apprehended 42 drug dealers.

The ANF said that the Pakistani authorities have been making relentless efforts to eradicate drug trafficking from the country. Enditem
