TASHKENT, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan has allocated 1 billion U.S. dollars in credit for boosting employment, local media reported on Saturday, citing the press service of the Uzbek president.

According to the report, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Friday listened to a report on providing jobs and increasing income for residents.

More than 5 million people, over 3 million of which receive aid from banks, plan to get employed in 2025, said the service.

2025 is crucial for ensuring employment and poverty reduction in the country. Therefore, Uzbekistan will intensify the coordination between local administrations and economic and financial arms, it said. Enditem
