NEW DELHI -- A helicopter belonging to the Indian Coast Guard crashed Sunday in the western state of Gujarat, killing all three crew members, including two pilots, on board, police said.

The Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv crashed during a routine training sortie at Porbandar airport, about 416 km west of Gandhinagar, the capital city of Gujarat. (India-Chopper Crash)

SYDNEY -- Two people have died in a light plane crash off Australia's east coast north of Sydney.

Police in the state of New South Wales said in a statement on Saturday night that emergency services were called to reports of a light plane crash in the ocean near the town of Nambucca Heads, approximately 400 km north of Sydney, at 4 p.m. local time. (Australia-Plane Crash-Death)

TOKYO -- Tomiko Itooka, a 116-year-old Japanese woman recognized as the world's oldest person, has died of old age in western Japan, according to local authorities.

Itooka died on Dec. 29 in a nursing home for the elderly in the city of Ashiya where she resided, the city government in Hyogo Prefecture said Saturday. (Japan-Oldest Person-Death)

SEOUL -- Chief of South Korea's presidential security service, Park Jong-joon, on Sunday vowed to keep blocking an attempt to arrest the impeached President Yoon Suk-yeol.

If the security service, which puts its top priority on the president's absolute safety, complied with the execution of the arrest warrant against Yoon, it would have been a dereliction of duty and an abandonment of presidential security, Park said in a statement. (SKorea-Yoon-Security) Enditem
