Afghan acting FM leaves for UAE to boost relations

KABUL, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Acting Foreign Minister of the Afghan caretaker government Amir Khan Muttaqi has left Kabul for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aiming to enhance bilateral relations, deputy spokesman for the foreign ministry Hafiz Zia Ahmad said Monday night.

Leading a high-ranking delegation, Muttaqi will engage in talks with UAE officials to discuss a range of bilateral relations, Ahmad said.

Since assuming power in August 2021, the officials of the Afghan caretaker government have been making efforts to strengthen ties with nations. Enditem
