COLOMBO, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's economy was estimated to grow 5.2 percent in the first three quarters of 2024, with key economic sectors recording expansions, Central Bank of Sri Lanka Governor Nandalal Weerasinghe said on Wednesday.

Addressing the launch of "Central Bank's Policy Agenda for 2025 and Beyond," he said leading economic indicators of industry and service sectors reflected a continuation of expansion in output in the last quarter of 2024 as well.

Thus, the real GDP was projected to have grown around 5 percent in 2024, registering the highest annual growth since 2017, he said. Enditem
