SARAJEVO, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) began its one-year presidency of the European Union (EU) Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) on Jan. 1.

During its term, it will focus on EU enlargement, youth empowerment, security, green transition, labor market growth, and disaster preparedness, the Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.

Sarajevo will host major events, including the 14th EUSDR Annual Forum, in November 2025.

Established in 2011, EUSDR unites 14 countries and 115 million people to tackle shared challenges and enhance regional cooperation. Enditem
