SARAJEVO, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) recorded over 124,800 tourist arrivals in November 2024, marking a 17.6 percent year-on-year increase, according to the country's Statistics Agency.
Overnight stays exceeded 248,000, marking a rise of 18.7 percent. Foreign tourists accounted for a significant portion of this growth, with a 64.4 percent increase in overnight stays compared to the same period last year.
Among international visitors, Croatians made up the largest group, accounting for 23.9 percent of total arrivals, followed by tourists from Serbia, Türkiye, and Slovenia. Chinese tourists ranked the fifth, contributing 4.4 percent of all foreign tourist arrivals.
In the first 11 months of 2024, more than 71,200 Chinese tourists visited BiH. The country has been visa-free for Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports since 2018. Enditem
