KIEV, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on Friday detailed the results of the 25th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group held at the U.S. airbase in Ramstein, Germany.
Among the summit's key achievements, Umerov highlighted the approval of roadmaps for developing Ukraine's Armed Forces until 2027.
The roadmaps cover such areas as the air force, air defense, maritime capabilities, artillery, armored vehicles, IT, drones, and demining, Umerov wrote in a post on Facebook.
The summit also yielded agreements on new aid packages from Ukraine's international partners, including a 500-million U.S. dollar assistance package from the United States. That encompasses air defense missiles, air-to-air missiles, and equipment for F-16 aircraft, the minister said.
Other aid would include more than 30,000 drones from Britain and four other NATO countries, and six IRIS-T air defense systems from Germany. Enditem
