SANAA -- One person was killed and nine others were wounded in the U.S.-British-Israeli joint airstrikes on northern Yemen on Friday afternoon, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.

The strikes targeted the Red Sea port of Ras Issa, where a person was killed and six others wounded. Another three people were injured in attacks on a power station in the Hizyaz area, south of the capital Sanaa. The airstrikes also hit the Hodeidah port and northern Amran province, al-Masirah TV reported. (Yemen-Joint Airstrikes-Casualty)

HOUSTON -- Four passengers were injuried after a Delta flight had to be evacuated on the tarmac at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Friday, airport officials confirmed.

The evacuation was caused by an engine problem, officials said. None of the injured is in serious condition. (US-Atlanta-Flight)

MALINDI, Kenya -- Three people on the ground were killed Friday in Malindi, a town on the north coast of Kenya, when a light aircraft crash-landed on a roadside, the police confirmed.

Kilifi County Police Commander Joseph Ongwae said the aircraft, 5Y-CDC, had taken off from Malindi Airport en route to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, when it soon developed mechanical problems and crashed at about two km outside the airport at around 2:52 p.m. local time (1152 GMT). GAZA -- Israeli airstrikes on Friday claimed the lives of at least 22 Palestinians, including a journalist, as fuel shortages threaten to plunge Gaza into a communications blackout, officials warned.

The Civil Defense in Gaza reported eight fatalities and several injuries from an airstrike targeting a group of people and a house in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza City.
