KABUL, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- A road construction project valued at over 1 million U.S. dollars has begun in Paghman district of Afghanistan's capital Kabul, the Kabul municipality office said on Saturday.
Funded by the municipal authorities, the project is estimated to cost 117 million afghani (approximately 1.6 million dollars) and is scheduled for completion within 11 months, according to a statement.
The Afghan caretaker government aims to create job opportunities for people by launching small and medium development projects in different provinces. Enditem
