DOHA -- Qatar's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Majed Al Ansari confirmed on Tuesday that the ongoing high-level Gaza ceasefire talks in Doha have reached an advanced stage.

"I can confirm that the talks are happening at a high level here in Doha as we speak. We believe we are at a developed stage, possibly even the final stage. SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group said in a statement on Tuesday that it targeted a power plant in the southern Israeli port city of Eilat, using a "winged missile."

BEIRUT -- Lebanon's newly appointed Prime Minister Nawaf Salam vowed on Tuesday to start a new chapter in the country, local TV channel Al Jadeed reported.

ISTANBUL -- Eleven people have died in hospitals in Istanbul, Türkiye's largest city, in the past 24 hours after consuming counterfeit alcohol, and two suspects have been detained, local media reported on Tuesday.

According to the state-run Anadolu news agency, 38 individuals, including 26 foreign nationals, sought medical treatment at various hospitals across the city due to health issues related to counterfeit alcohol consumption.
