MOSCOW/KIEV, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Russian forces have launched a group strike targeting Ukrainian energy facilities that support the military-industrial complex, the Russian defense ministry said Wednesday.

"This morning, the Russian armed forces launched a group strike with high-precision weapons and attack drones on critical gas and energy infrastructure facilities that supported the Ukrainian military-industrial complex," the defense ministry said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday that Russia launched over 40 missiles, over 30 of which were intercepted by air defense units. Enditem
