MANILA, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines and South Korea have agreed to pursue digital transformation and innovation, the Philippines' National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) said Friday.

The NEDA and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) held the first-ever meeting of the Korean-Philippine Economic Innovation Partnership Program (EIPP) on Thursday in the Philippine capital.

The NEDA said the meeting outlined comprehensive plans for three digital infrastructure projects to be developed by the EIPP to improve information and communications technology in the Philippines.

"With the signing of the memorandum of understanding last year, we will begin implementing the program with the three projects to pave the way for significant advancements in our digital infrastructure," said NEDA Undersecretary for Investment Programming Joseph Capuno. Enditem
