JERUSALEM -- Israel's military chief Herzi Halevi on Monday instructed the army to prepare plans for renewed attacks in Gaza and Lebanon, a day after the fragile Gaza ceasefire came into effect.
In a situational assessment meeting, Halevi "instructed the preparation of plans for continued combat operations -- both in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon," according to a statement from the military. (Israel-Attack Plans-Gaza)

CAIRO -- Egypt's State Information Service (SIS) said that 323 aid trucks were delivered to the war-torn Gaza Strip on Monday, the second day of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire.
In a statement, the SIS said that 310 humanitarian aid trucks and 13 trucks carrying fuel on Monday crossed the Rafah border crossing and entered Gaza through the Israeli-controlled Al-Auja and Karm Abu Salem border crossings. (Egypt-Gaza Aid-Ceasefire)

JERUSALEM -- An Israeli reservist soldier was killed, and a battalion commander seriously injured when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli military said on Monday.

ISTANBUL -- Türkiye's consulate general in the northwestern Syrian city of Aleppo resumed its operations on Monday, Turkish state media reported.
