ABU DHABI, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed on Wednesday bilateral ties and cooperation with visiting Iranian Vice President Shina Ansari.

The official Emirates News Agency (WAM) said that Ansari conveyed to the UAE president the greetings of the Iranian president and his wishes for UAE's further progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed relations between the two countries and ways to enhance cooperation in sectors including economy and trade to serve the mutual interests of the two countries and their peoples.

As head of Iran's Department of Environment, Ansari also explored the potential for collaboration between the two countries' environmental organizations. Enditem
