TEHRAN, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- A military aircraft crashed on Wednesday in Iran's western Hamedan province, but both pilots survived, the official news agency IRNA reported.
The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. local time (0700 GMT) in a mountainous region of Kabudarahang County, IRNA quoted an informed source as saying.
The anonymous source added that the two pilots aboard the plane sustained only minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Hamedan's Deputy Governor for Political and Security Affairs Hamzeh Amraei told IRNA that the cause of the incident was under investigation, adding the pilots had managed to rescue themselves before the aircraft crashed. Enditem
