JAKARTA, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- The export value of Indonesian furniture and handicraft products in the global market reached 2.22 billion U.S. dollars from January to November 2024, Indonesia's Trade Minister Budi Santoso announced on Thursday.
The minister attributed this achievement to a 15.09 percent increase in global demand. "It is quite encouraging that the global demand for furniture and handicrafts continues to grow," he said.
According to Budi, Indonesia ranked 19th globally in furniture supply, with its products in high demand in the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.
He expressed optimism that Indonesian furniture exports would continue to grow, contributing to the country's overall export growth target of 7.1 percent for the year. Enditem
