ADDIS ABABA, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- At least 25 people were killed and 29 others injured in a road accident in northern Ethiopia on Thursday, local authorities confirmed.
The accident occurred when a transport bus lost control and overturned in the Dawunt District of the Amhara Region, eventually leaving 25 people dead, the North Wello Zone communication office said in a statement.
The accident left 14 people with serious injuries and 15 others with minor injuries. Local officials said the injured are currently receiving medical treatment at nearby health facilities.
