JAKARTA, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shuttlers advanced to the semifinals in three categories on Friday at the 2025 Indonesia Masters at the Istora Senayan Sports Stadium in Jakarta.
In the men's singles, China's world No. 1 Shi Yuqi advanced to the semifinals after outclassing his compatriot Weng Hongyang 22-20, 21-9.
Meanwhile, the world's No. 10 mixed doubles players Guo Xinwa and Chen Fanghui defeated fellow Chinese pair Cheng Xing and Zhang Chi in a tough battle with scores of 21-18, 14-21, 22-20.
In the women's doubles, Jia Yifan and Zhang Shuxian overpowered Malaysia's Go Pei Kee and Teoh Mei Xing 21-5, 21-13, though in the men's doubles, Xie Haonan and Zeng Weihan lost to Indonesia's Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto. Enditem
