MINSK -- Alexander Lukashenko has won the presidential election of Belarus, receiving 86.82 percent of the vote, according to the preliminary results released early Monday by the country's Central Election Commission.

CAIRO -- Egypt rejected on Sunday any infringement on the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including their displacement from their lands, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

BEIRUT -- The death toll from Israeli attacks on crowds of Lebanese trying to return to their homes in southern Lebanon has risen to 22, including six women, with 124 others injured, the Lebanese Health Ministry said Sunday.
