MUSCAT, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman's minister of commerce, industry, and investment promotion, held talks with his visiting Indian counterpart, Piyush Goyal, on Monday to discuss strengthening cooperation in various sectors.
According to Oman News Agency, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the 11th session of the Oman-India Joint Committee.
The discussions focused on boosting collaboration in fields such as technology, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and infrastructure, as well as ways to attract Indian investments to Oman.
Both sides underscored the importance of the joint committee as a "strategic platform" to enhance bilateral cooperation and expand economic ties.
According to the Indian official figures, the trade between the two countries reached 8.94 billion U.S. dollars in 2023-2024. Enditem
