KIGALI -- At least five people were killed and 35 others injured in western Rwanda by bombs fired from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Monday, authorities said.
Rwanda Defense Force spokesperson Ronald Rwivanga told Rwanda Broadcasting Agency, alleging that several rockets were fired into Rwanda's Rubavu border district by the Congolese army and elements of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda, a Rwandan rebel group operating in the eastern DRC. HELSINKI-- Denmark has unveiled plans to bolster its military presence in the Arctic amid rising concerns over the U.S. interest in acquiring Greenland, a Danish-owned territory.
Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen announced late Monday that the government will allocate 14.6 billion Danish krona (approximately 2 billion U.S. dollars) to boost the defence of Greenland, Arctic Sea and Northern Atlantic. SANTIAGO -- Six people were killed after a tour boat capsized in southern Chile on Sunday, the country's investigative police said Monday.

JERUSALEM -- The Israeli Air Force (IAF) on Monday killed Ihab Abu Atiwi, the head of Hamas in the West Bank city of Tulkarm, said a joint statement issued by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA).
"During a joint IDF and ISA counterterrorism activity, an IAF aircraft struck and eliminated Ihab Abu Atiwi, a terrorist who served as the head of Hamas in Tulkarm, and an additional terrorist," the statement read. (Israel-Hamas-Killing)

NEW DELHI -- Several people were trapped under the debris of a four-story building after it collapsed in north Delhi's Burari area on Monday evening, confirmed an official of the Delhi Fire Services over phone.
