KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's producer price index (PPI) rose 0.3 percent year-on-year in 2024 after posting a negative 1.9 percent in 2023, official data showed Tuesday.
The Department of Statistics Malaysia said in a statement that the increase was particularly supported by positive growth in the agriculture, forestry and fishing sector, which recorded a 7.9 percent increase.
As for December 2024, the PPI increased marginally by 0.5 percent, ending a three-month decline since September 2024. Enditem
