TEHRAN, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has exchanged views with his British and Polish counterparts in separate phone calls on bilateral ties as well as international and regional issues of common interest.

Speaking to British Foreign Secretary David Lammy on Wednesday, Araghchi elaborated on Iran's positions on its peaceful nuclear activities, according to a statement released by the Iranian foreign ministry.

Araghchi said Iran has always been ready for dialogue based on its principles and in line with the country's national interests, and that the nuclear negotiations have been held on the same basis in the past.

In his phone talks on the same day with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, Araghchi expressed hope that "constructive" interaction between Iran and the EU will be promoted during Poland's rotating presidency, according to a separate statement released by the Iranian foreign ministry.

Calling bilateral ties "friendly," Sikorski said he hopes the existing issues between Iran and the EU, including the nuclear one, will be resolved.

Also on Wednesday, Araghchi held a phone call with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi, during which they voiced their determination to continue bilateral cooperation, said a statement by the Iranian foreign ministry. Enditem
