BANGKOK -- Thailand's economy is projected to expand 3 percent in 2025, unchanged from an earlier estimate, supported by private consumption, exports and tourism, the Ministry of Finance said on Thursday.
Private consumption was seen expanding 3.3 percent this year, up from 2.9 percent in the previous projection, partly due to the government's stimulus measures and continued growth in farm incomes, said Pornchai Thiraveja, director general of the ministry's Fiscal Policy Office. MANILA -- The Philippines' gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 5.6 percent in 2024, below the government's target range of 6 percent to 6.5 percent, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said Thursday.
