WASHINGTON, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- All four track records were broken in the men's 1,000m, women's 1,000m, women's 3,000m, and men's 5,000m on the first competition day of the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Milwaukee of the United States on Friday.

20-year-old American prodigy Jordan Stolz clocked one minute and 6.16 seconds to seize the men's 1,000m gold, followed by skaters from the Netherlands, Jenning de Boo and Kjeld Nuis, who finished second and third, respectively.

Stolz has been unstoppable in pocketing golds this season, currently topping the World Cup standings in the men's 500m, 1,000m, and 1,500m.

Japanese favorite Miho Takagi was also in good form, claiming the women's 1,000m victory in 1:13.56. Previous track record holder Brittany Bowe of the United States finished second, while Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong of the Netherlands claimed bronze.

In the long-distance race, Italy's Francesca Lollobrigida secured the women's 3,000m title in 3:54.73, just 0.13 seconds ahead of runner-up Ragne Wiklund of Norway. Another Norwegian Sander Eitrem set both a track record and a personal best of 6:04.74 to clinch the men's 5,000m gold.

The ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Milwaukee runs through Friday to Sunday, with the 500m and 1,500m titles being decided on Saturday. Enditem
