WASHINGTON, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- American star skater Jordan Stolz set new track records in both the men's 500m and 1,500m events at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Milwaukee of the United States on Saturday.
Stolz, 20, who seized the men's 1,000m gold on Friday, clinched the 500m title in 33.91 seconds, while Jenning de Boo of the Netherlands and Canadian Laurent Dubreuil took the silver and bronze, respectively.
Later in the men's 1,500m, Stolz dominated in one minute and 41.46 seconds, followed by the runner-up Kjeld Nuis of the Netherlands. Norway's Peder Kongshaug finished third.
In women's side, Femke Kok of the Netherlands clocked 37.11 seconds to claim the women's 500m title, 0.28 seconds ahead of the home favorite Erin Jackson of the United States, and Japan's Kurumi Inagawa won a bronze.
The Netherlands' Joy Beune secured the women's 1,500m title, defeating the silver medalist Miho Takagi of Japan. Italy's Francesca Lollobrigida pocketed a bronze in the 1,500m after winning the women's 3,000m gold on Friday.
The three-day tournament will conclude on Sunday with the last seven golds on offer. Enditem
