BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Marcelino Moreno scored one goal and set up another as Lanus eased to a 2-0 home win over Sarmiento in the Argentine Primera Division's Apertura tournament on Saturday.

The 29-year-old attacking midfielder put the host ahead at Ciudad de Lanus when he combined with Juan Caceres before slotting home from the edge of the six-yard box.

Moreno then turned provider as his perfectly executed free-kick from the left-wing was met with a bullet header from Eduardo Salvio.

The result marked Lanus' first victory of the campaign while Sarmiento remains winless in the 15-team group.

Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Saturday, San Martin was held to a goalless home draw by Rosario Central and Barracas Central edged to a 1-0 home victory over Banfield. Enditem
