KABUL, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Gunfire erupted at the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) compound in the capital Kabul, resulting in the death of one person and injuries of another, local media TOLOnews reported on Monday.
TOLOnews quoted Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Affairs, as saying that "an Afghan security soldier lost his life, while a United Nations staff member sustained minor injuries following the gunfire."
The cause of the accident is under investigation, said Qani.
