MINSK, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- The government of Belarus has resigned after the presidential election, the press service said on Monday.
According to the Belarusian Constitution, the government resigned following the election. The resignation document was signed by the country's Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on Monday, instructing the government to continue to fulfill their duties until a new government is formed.
The presidential election was held in Belarus on Jan. 26. Lukashenko won with 86.82 percent of the vote. Enditem
