KABUL -- Gunfire erupted at the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan compound in the capital Kabul, resulting in the death of one person and injuries of another, local media TOLOnews reported on Monday.
TOLOnews quoted Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Affairs, as saying that "an Afghan security soldier lost his life, while a United Nations staff member sustained minor injuries following the gunfire." (Afghanistan-UN-Gunfire)

JAKARTA -- Flash floods hitting Indonesia's West Nusa Tenggara province on Sunday afternoon left at least one person dead and seven others missing, a rescuer said on Monday morning.

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong's economy expanded 2.5 percent in 2024 as exports of goods and services maintained growth, according to advance estimates released by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government on Monday.
