PANAMA CITY, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Veteran forward Cecilio Waterman is one of eight foreign-based players included in Panama's squad for a friendly against Chile on Saturday.

The 33-year-old, who plays for Chile's Coquimbo Unido, is joined by New York Red Bulls pair Aimar Modelo and Rafael Mosquera, Gabriel Brown (Sporting, Costa Rica) and Cesar Yanis (Cobresal, Chile), the Panamanian Football Federation said on Tuesday.

Manager Thomas Christiansen also named Kahiser Lenis (Jaguares, Colombia), Janpol Morales (Macara, Ecuador) and Gustavo Herrera (Puebla, Mexico) in his 23-man squad.

The match will be played at Estadio Nacional in Chilean capital Santiago.

For Christiansen, the fixture will serve as preparation for his team's CONCACAF Nations League away clash against the United States on March 20.

Chile boss Ricardo Gareca will also use the match to fine-tune his squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Ecuador on March 20 and 25, respectively.

The last time Panama and Chile met was during the 2016 Copa America, when Chile prevailed 4-2. Enditem
