ABU DHABI, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Jordanian King Abdullah II held a phone conversation on Wednesday, discussing bilateral relations and regional developments, state media Emirates News Agency reported.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the close ties between their countries and enhancing cooperation in various fields, and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly the latest developments in the Middle East.
During the call, both leaders emphasized the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to bolster security and stability in the region while preventing the escalation of conflicts, reiterating their support for a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution as the foundation for lasting regional stability.
