DAKAR, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Senegal's Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mines announced on Thursday that crude oil production from the Sangomar field is expected to reach approximately 30.53 million barrels in 2025.

"The projected crude oil production for 2025 is estimated at around 30.53 million barrels, with a target of maintaining a stable output of 100,000 barrels per day throughout the year," the ministry said in a production report on the Sangomar field.

According to the report, total crude oil production at Sangomar in January 2025 reached 3.11 million barrels.

"During this period, three shipments, totaling 2.89 million barrels, were exported and sold on the international market," the report added.

Located about 100 kilometers offshore from Dakar, the Sangomar field is operated by the Australian company Woodside Energy, which began oil extraction there on June 11 last year. Enditem
