HANOI, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total goods retail sales and consumer service revenues increased by 9.5 percent year on year in January to 573.3 trillion Vietnamese dong (2.2 billion U.S. dollars), according to the latest statistics of the country's General Statistics Office.
Specifically, Vietnam's goods retail sales stood at 441.4 trillion dong (1.7 billion dollars), up 8.6 percent year on year.
During the cited period, the restaurant and accommodation revenues increased 14.8 percent, and tourism revenues surged 17.3 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the office.
Several localities reported surging tourism revenues, with Khanh Hoa province up 36.6 percent year on year, Da Nang city up 21 percent, and Ho Chi Minh up 17 percent. Enditem
