ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani security forces claimed on Friday to have killed three terrorists in an operation in the North Waziristan tribal district of the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan army, said in a statement that the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Datta Khel area of the district on reported presence of terrorists on Thursday night. (Pakistan-Military-Terrorists)

COLOMBO -- Aimed at accelerating Sri Lanka's digital transformation, three key initiatives were officially launched on Friday under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, according to the President's Media Division (PMD).
These initiatives include the establishment of the GovPay government digital payment platform, the expansion of the President's Fund services to the Divisional Secretariat level, and the introduction of the electronic system for obtaining birth, marriage, and death certificates through embassies, said the PMD in a press release. HANOI -- More than 4.33 billion U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment(FDI) was funnelled into Vietnam in January, a year-on-year surge of 48.6 percent, the General Statistics Office has said.

YANGON -- A total of 69 suspects have been arrested in a recent crackdown on telecom fraud in eastern Myanmar's Shan state, Zaw Min Tun, a spokesperson of Myanmar's State Administration Council, said on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces conducted an operation in Mongyai township on Feb. 5, and arrested 20 suspects, seizing a lot of weapons, ammunition, mobile phones, and computers used in fraudulent activities, he said.
Additionally, on Feb. 6, security forces continued their crackdown in another area of the same township, and arrested 49 more suspects allegedly involved in telecom fraud, he added. (Myanmar-Telecom Fraud) Enditem
