COLOMBO, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Four people have died and around 25 others were injured after two passenger buses collided in Thorayaya in northwestern Sri Lanka on Monday, police reported.
The injured have been admitted to Kurunegala Teaching Hospital, the region's main hospital, according to police.
Authorities stated that one of the buses was speeding at the time of the accident.
Road accidents are common in Sri Lanka, with many involving buses, official data shows.
