Vietnam's state budget collection up 14 pct in January

HANOI, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's government posted a state budget collection of 275.9 trillion Vietnamese dong (10.9 billion U.S. dollars) in January, up 14 percent year on year, according to the latest local media cited the country's General Statistics Office on Monday.

Domestic revenue during the month surged 5.4 percent from the same period of 2024 to 255.4 trillion dong (10.1 billion dollars), while revenue from import-export activities declined 15.3 percent to 16.5 trillion dong (650 million dollars).

The Vietnamese government's budget spending in January stood at 133.4 trillion dong (5.2 billion dollars), said the office.

The Vietnamese government has set a target of more than 1.96 quadrillion dong (77.2 billion dollars) for total state budget collection in 2025. Enditem
