GAZA -- The Israeli army has killed 92 Palestinians and wounded 822 others in direct strikes on the Gaza Strip since its truce with Hamas began on Jan. 19, Gaza-based health authorities reported on Tuesday.

Health workers have also recovered 641 bodies, with about 197 of them unidentified, since the truce went into effect, Munir al-Barash, director general of the health authorities, said in a statement. (Israel-Strikes)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that he did not think the Palestinian people whom he wanted to drive out of the Gaza Strip should return to the enclave once the reconstruction there has been completed.

Asked in an interview with Fox News if the Palestinians now residing in Gaza, who under Trump's proposal will face forced displacement to make way for the rebuilding of the enclave, would "have the right to return," Trump said, "No, they wouldn't." (Trump-Gaza)

SANAA -- A staff member of the United Nations has died in Houthi captivity in northern Yemen's Saada province, according to UN and Yemeni security sources on Tuesday.

A UN source in Yemen told Xinhua that Ahmed Baalawi, an IT operations officer with the World Food Programme (WFP), passed away last night in a Houthi detention facility in Saada. (UN-Yemen)

FARAH, Afghanistan -- Three people were killed and two others sustained injuries as an explosive device struck a car in Pushtkoh district of western Afghanistan's Farah province on Monday, deputy district chief Mawlawi Masrori said Tuesday.

The explosive device, which had been left over from past wars, struck a car on Monday evening, killing three commuters on the spot and injuring two others, according to the official. (Afghanistan-Explosion) Enditem
