GAZA -- The Israeli army has killed 92 Palestinians and wounded 822 others in direct strikes on the Gaza Strip since its truce with Hamas began on Jan. 19, Gaza-based health authorities reported on Tuesday.

ADEN, Yemen -- Yemen's Houthi leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, warned on Tuesday that his group is prepared to resume military operations against Israel if it breaches the Gaza ceasefire.
In a televised address, al-Houthi emphasized the need for Arab and Islamic unity against U.S. policies in the region and condemned any plans to displace Palestinians. JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that if the Israeli hostages held in Gaza are not returned by Saturday, the ceasefire with Hamas will be canceled, and Israel will resume "intensive fighting" in the war-torn enclave.

RAMALLAH -- Israeli authorities have begun building a new settlement on Bethlehem's land in the southern West Bank, according to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission of the Palestine Liberation Organization on Tuesday.
The commission's head, Muayyad Shaaban, said the settlement is being constructed in the village of Battir, with Israel allocating 120 dunams (120,000 square meters) for the project.
