SEOUL, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Five people were rescued after a fishing boat with 10 people on board capsized off South Korea's southern resort island of Jeju on Wednesday, multiple media outlets said.

The coast guard received a distress signal at about 7:56 p.m. local time (1056 GMT) from the 33-ton fishing vessel.

A 500-ton coast guard ship was sent to the scene, finding the fishing boat overturned and rescuing five people.

A wind wave advisory was issued in nearby waters, with the wind at 18-20 meters per second and waves rising 3 meters high. Enditem
