LONDON, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Arsenal's injury crisis in attack has worsened with Kai Havertz suffering a hamstring injury that could sideline him for the rest of the season.

The forward suffered a muscle tear at a warm-weather training camp in Dubai.

Arsenal had already been without Gabriel Jesus who suffered a knee injury. Bukayo Saka won't return from his thigh problem until April. Gabiel Martinelli fell victim to a hamstring injury in last week's Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle United, leaving the Brazilian out of action for at least four weeks.

So far, Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling and the 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri are Arsenal's only other available attacking options as the club looks to close the gap on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.

Havertz has been virtually an ever-present in Arsenal's starting 11 in the Premier League, starting all 21 matches when he has been available and scoring nine goals, as well as carrying out a vital role in pressing rivals as they look to play the ball out of defense. Enditem
