MANILA -- The Philippines' National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), an agency under the Department of Justice (DOJ) handling major high-profile cases, Wednesday recommended the filing of criminal charges against Vice President Sara Duterte.

SEOUL -- Five people went missing after a fishing boat with 10 people, including six South Koreans, three Vietnamese and one Indonesian, on board capsized off South Korea's southern resort island of Jeju Wednesday, according to multiple media outlets.

MANILA -- Three people were killed and a 14-year-old boy was severely injured after a tricycle collided with a ten-wheeler truck in Zamboanga del Norte province in the southern Philippines on Wednesday, police said.

KABUL -- The extremist militant group Islamic State (IS) has taken responsibility for a suicide attack in northern Afghanistan's Kunduz province, local media TOLOnews TV reported Wednesday.
