SYDNEY, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- A truck driver has died and another has been hospitalized in critical condition following a major crash in southwest Sydney.
The police in the state of New South Wales said on Thursday that emergency services were called to reports of a crash near the small town of Oolong, about 215 km southwest of Sydney, at about 1:15 a.m. local time.
Officers arrived at the scene and found that a truck towing two semi-trailers had left the road and rolled before a second truck, which was also towing two semi-trailers, crashed into its rear.
The male driver of one of the trucks died at the scene while the second driver is in critical condition.
The crash occurred on the Hume Highway, which connects Sydney and Melbourne.
The police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. Enditem
